Nerds-Feather Wants YOUR Book!

Hopefully you have enjoyed the Adventures in Indie Publishing posts the last couple months. We’re all excited to see that column grow and expand our coverage of indie publishing. So if you have a self- or indie-published book, we’d love to read it. We kindly ask, though, that you follow the submission guidelines below:

Send an email nerdsfeather.indiesubs@gmail.com with the subject: INDIE BOOK [your book name] by [your name]. In the body, please include:

• What genre/sub-genre your book falls under (the more specific, the better)
• A one-paragraph synopsis of your book
• A one-paragraph (ish) bio about you
• Your publisher, if you have one
• Any links to your author site, book site and/or publishing company (not links to other reviews, social media, etc)

If possible, please attach a copy of your book in mobi format.

A word of caution, however, before you send that email: There are a lot of books out there, and we are sure you’re super proud of yours- you should be. We know how much effort goes into creating a work of art, with experience across several mediums. However, our goal is to emphasize those independent authors and publishers producing work on par with offerings from traditional publishers. So, please, make sure your book is indistinguishable from something you would see anywhere else before you send it to us. This includes editing, cover art, formatting, story- everything.

We will do our best to acknowledge as many submissions as possible. However, due to sheer volume, we cannot guarantee coverage for any given work submitted. If we choose to cover your book, we’ll contact you again and let you know.
